Kirk Dela Cruz

Director of Day and Vocational Services - San Diego
Kirk began his career in the intellectual and developmental disabilities field after earning his degree in Secondary Education from Penn State University and a Master’s in Special Education from George Mason University. He first worked as a Multiple Disabilities Teacher, providing Life Skills, Job Skills, and Community-Based Instruction, while also developing new programs, teaching Student Government & Leadership, and coaching Special Olympics Unified Sports.
In 2021, Kirk moved to San Diego and shifted from education to empowering adults with disabilities. He gained experience across multiple service areas, including Day Programs, Respite, and Film & Media before discovering his passion for Employment Services. His leadership in expanding inclusive workforce opportunities earned him recognition as a Top 40 Changemaker on the San Diego Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list in 2025.
Outside of work, Kirk is often at the beach, fully embracing life as a proud San Diegan living out his California dream.
